Bernafon Hearing Aids
Bernafon was a relatively small Swiss hearing aid company that was bought out by William Demant Holdings, the same company that owns Oticon and now Sonic Innovations. In the buy out most of Bernafon's technologies were replaced by defeatured Oticon technology to produce a budget brand. Bernafon were however able to retain some of its best technologies, such as ChannelFree Processing, which delivers very natural sound quality. Bernafon hearing aids are good value to clients wanting to have hearing aids with Oticon's exceptional design and sound quality, but without the high price tag.

Latest Bernafon Hearing aids
Bernafon has released their latest Chronos range of hearing aids in 2011. These hearing aids are based on the RISE II chipset from Oticon and share some features with Oticon's Agil Range of hearing aids. The features are a little less than those found with Oticon, but Chronos has ChannelFree processing, which is Bernafon's signature processing, as well as a new feedback manager to reduce hearing aid whistling, not found on Oticon hearing aids.
The Chronos compares well with the mid-to-premium level hearing aids from other manufacturers.
